The India, South and South East Asia Project seeks to foster and facilitate the creation of knowledge on Indian, South and South-East Asian politics and their links with the UK through original research, collaboration and exchange between academics throughout the world. Further, it seeks to disseminate the knowledge produced to specialist and non-specialist audiences including students, scholars, policy makers and other stakeholders.

The project was launched in December 2014 by Professor Lord Bhikhu Parekh of Kingston upon Hull who inaugurated  our quarterly lecture and seminar series and the project at large.

Our website includes information on us, our upcoming events, projects and a blog focused on issues pertaining to contemporary Indian, South and South East Asian politics written by experts in these fields.
